This one is from the way back time machine, one of the first weddings I shot and got paid for! We did their engagement session (my first ever!) at Crescent Beach at sunset, which has since become one of my favourite shooting locations. And of course they are Canucks fans!
The ceremony was held in the little chapel at Burnaby village. The chapel is perfect for an intimate wedding and seats 80 people. After the ceremony we headed over to the carousel which they had reserved for their private use. No, we didn’t get to ride them (I don’t know if it ever gets ridden?). But it was a lot of fun shooting the bride, groom and wedding party there. And the grounds of Burnaby village themselves provide a lot of great photo opportunities, which this couple took full advantage of.
The reception was held at the ice cream parlour – which is a pretty cool retro place. It’s not very big, but there was still room for a small dance floor.
